SDS Teams Up with Jubilee to Expand Student Loan Relief Options for Bankruptcy Clients

Updated: Jul 31

The economy has been tough on families across the country—and it shows. Personal bankruptcies are up 13–14% over the past year, and within that rise, more people are starting to see their student loans partially or even fully discharged through the bankruptcy process.

In recognition of this trend, Jubilee, a leader in attorney bankruptcy software, and SDS have developed an integration which makes it easy for Jubilee users to leverage the student loan attestation process as a part of their client services – as easy as ordering a partner product through Jubilee.

With this integration, Jubilee attorneys can seamlessly use clients’ existing income, expense and family information from Jubilee in SDS—eliminating duplicate data entry and making it fast and easy to run the attestation test to determine if the client qualifies for student loan discharge in bankruptcy. If the client is a good candidate, SDS will auto populate the Attestation Form in preparation for use in court. However, if the client is not a good candidate, SDS helps the attorney or paralegal go through the standard SDS process to identify ways to lower payments by taking advantage of applicable federal repayment programs.

Jubilee and SDS are excited to be launching the beta program for this integration, marking the first step in Jubilee’s broader strategy to make student loan discharge easier and more accessible for all bankruptcy firms. Keep an eye out for a more detailed announcement from Jubilee in the coming weeks. SDS is proud to partner with Jubilee on this important initiative. If you’re an attorney using Jubilee and want to join the beta program, please contact Dave Danielson at dave.danielson@efiscal.net.
